The Alpha Society

Objective

The objective of the Alpha Society is to provide a small and knowledgeable group of active and wealthy investors with the opportunity to stay up to date with the ideas of leading professional opinion-formers in the investment world. This is achieved through the exchange of views and the discussion of opportunities in a comfortable and informal environment. Subscribers to the Independent Investor newsletter have privileged access to Alpha Society meetings.

Speakers

Speakers are drawn from three main groups:

•    Active London-based professional investors
•    Visiting professionals from overseas
•    Analysts, academics and other commentators

Past speakers at Indepndent Investor events include Anthony Bolton, Philip Gibbs, Crispin Odey, Jermey Grantham, Edward Chancellor, Sandy Nairn and Jim Slater.

Location

The majority of the meetings are held at the Savile Club in Mayfair, London.
Other locations and venues are selected for special events.
