Alpha Society Objective:The objective of the Club is to provide a small and knowledgeable group of active and wealthy investors with the opportunity to stay up to date with the ideas of leading professional opinion-formers in the investment world. This is achieved through the exchange of views and the discussion of opportunities in a comfortable and informal environment.
The Alpha Society has two platforms; regular meetings and members website.
Membership:Membership is by annual subscription. Numbers
at any meeting are limited to a maximum of 25. Membership is for named
individuals and corporate rates are also available. To enquire about

+44(0) 20 3091 7346Format:The meetings are held either at breakfast or in the early evening where the guest speaker presents and then takes questions in a controlled discussion. This is led by a qualified chairman such as Jonathan Davis or John Chatfeild-Roberts. The meeting is catered and there are networking opportunities after the event. The meetings are private and based on Chatham House rules. A range of different speakers are featured throughout the year.
Speakers:An advisory group has been set up to attract the best speakers. The speakers are typically drawn from the following groups:
• Active London-based professional investors
• Visiting professionals from overseas
• Analysts, academics and other commentators
Frequency:Meetings usually occur monthly. Confirmed dates for 2009 are:

Location:The majority of the meetings are held at the
Savile Club in Mayfair, London.
Other locations and venues are selected for special events.
Alpha Society website membership area:Entry to the Alpha Society members’ area of the website is via an individual password. This private area of the website includes exclusive features such as:

• Profiles of each speaker, updated each month
• Edited ‘Podcast’ from selected presentations (where appropriate)

Other services:Over time we may develop other services that can be offered to members of the club. These will evolve in response to demand, depending on what the members are comfortable with and need. There is no overt selling or commercial activities, but the membership can choose to network for personal business purposes.
